Student Environmental Resource Center Opens TODAY!

Join ASUC Senator Nolan Pack (CalSERVE) for the grand opening of the Student Environmental Resource Center (SERC) TODAY from 3-5pm! (Click here for directions to the event, and here to see the Facebook event).

The center’s opening will feature a brief informational introduction from leaders in SERC team, as well as a speaker from the UC San Diego environmental center. Students interested in environmental sustainability are invited to attend to network, collaborate and learn about this new resource! Refreshments and snacks will be provided by the Berkeley Student Food Collective.

SERC is a student-run project funded by The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF). SERC will provide information, resources, jobs, research opportunities, grant aid and services to students and student groups interested in sustainability. The project aims to target students and student organizations as well as freshman and transfer students looking to get involved in the environmental community at UC Berkeley. In addition, SERC is developing a sustainability DeCal that will feature students and community leaders.

CalSERVE Senator Nolan Pack spearheaded the effort to create SERC, a vital new resource for student-based campus sustainability. SERC developed out of his 2012 Senate campaign platform to create a student space specifically dedicated to environmental sustainability and collaboration across the Cal student community.
