ASUC Condemns Racial Insensitivity, Passes SB 142

On Wednesday night, the ASUC passed SB 142, authored by all six CalSERVE Senators and Marcel Jones of the Black Student Union, to condemn racial insensitivity and promote inclusiveness and sensitivity training in the wake of TDX fraternity’s display of a hanging zombie for Halloween. Over 80 community members attended the Senate meeting to voice their opinions and encourage the Senate to pass the bill under immediate consideration. Read more below:
