Protest the 32% fee hike! Transportation to UC Regents Meeting

Next week, Nov. 17-19, the UC Regents will be meeting at UCLA to vote on a proposed 32% fee increase that would bring UC tuition to over $10,000 for the first time. If this passes, a UC education will become unaffordable to thousands of students, and many of us will be forced to go even further into debt. This fee increase, if passed, will be another step towards the privatization of the UC system.

Organizers of the UCLA Fights Back! coalition have issued a call asking UC students from across the state to attend the Regents meeting to protest the fee hike. Buses will be taking students down from every campus. For more information on the actions planned at UCLA, as well as how to reserve a space on the buses, please visit:http://www.protestucregents.com

We hope you’ll join us in protesting a fee increase that -if passed- will be a betrayal of the UC’s mandate to provide a public education for the people of California.
